Just recently purchased a 2009 LTZ and I am able to pair my HTC EVO to the radio and it works fine until I shut the car off and walk away. When I return my phone see's the radio and says "paired but not connected". When I try to connect through my phone it says connected and then disconnected. If I try to pair throught the radio it cannot find the device and I have to set it up all over again with a new device name.

I went to the dealer knowing there is TSB for this issue, but they wont touch it because my phone is not on the approved list.

I know for a fact that '10 model Silverado and Camaro work fine through two other people I have talked with and the phone is not on the approved list for these as well.

Was hoping someone else has been through same issue with same phone and can help.

Thanks,
Jeff

I assume you're talking about pairing a cell phone to Bluetooth. You generally pair the phone once, and everytime you start the car, you should see "Bluetooth" on the radio dial. The is showing that a connection has been made to your car's Bluetooth system. Did you follow the instructions from the Owner's Manual?

The only issue I had was my phone was not automatically connecting due to a setting on my phone. My phone would ask for a confirmation first, then when I pressed okay, it would connect. I changed the setting on my phone so it connects to Bluetooth automatically.

During the pairing process, does your phone say "GM" when it's found your car's Bluetooth System? If it does, it means your phone is compatible with GM Bluetooth. Also, are you entering the security / access code displayed on the radio dial during the pairing process. You must enter this code for the pairing to take effect.

The Owner's Manual does clearly state that not all Phones are compatible with your cars Bluetooth System.

If you continue to have problems, it could just be an update to your Bluetooth Module which the dealer should do for you. If you know that your phone successfully pairs with 2010 Chevy's, then it's probably just an update.
Explain to your dealer that your phone does successfully pair with 2010 Chevy Bluetooth Systems. Based on this, they should update your Bluetooth Module to the 2010 specs.
