2010 Malibu 2.4 LE5 Ecotec large oil leak

I have an oil leak on the exhaust side of the engine. Coming from between the head gasket and the cylinder head. It wasn’t bad at first. Now is leaking about a quart every 30-40 miles. Has anyone dealt with this? I have ordered a head gasket, head studs, timing chains. About to pick up a cylinder for it. Worried it might be a cracked block

If it's a cracked block, I hope you can get your money back on those parts.

I’m not to worried. If it needed an engine I’d get a junk yard engine. Then I’d have the parts to do a timing chain and balance chain. I would only be out head studs which were $85 oem. I was just curious if someone has ran into this issue and It was only a head gasket. It leaks onto the exhaust so my car smokes really bad
