A little extra width would be nice. Otherwise all the current cars really lack for is some things Ep I can't give it, like the onboard NAV for one. Supposedly Ep II addresses the areas everyone complains about, so it wouldn't hurt GM to get it here on the original schedule, and if keeping the design much more similar to this one inside and out makes that easier to do, more power to 'em!No, too early.
Actually, the discussion was, with the Epsilon II platform the next Malibu already did exist in design, and basically looked a LOT like the current one, just with the little differences such as extra width thanks to the new platform, and another all new interior. Then that got pushed back quite a while, so who knows.
Given the success of the current car's looks especially, this previous idea should remain--very, very similar, but still new. Regardless, not happening anytime that soon.
