I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu. It ran hot. Smoke was coming from under the hood. I quickly pulled the vehicle over to the side and turned the car off. When the car cooled down i did try to crank it back up and it didnt. When trying to jump the vehicle the vehicle still didnt want to crank. When trying to crank the vehicle, the vehicle just makes a clicking sound while the engine light is coming on as well. What could the issue be ? im not sure if its the starter or not

evrything inside the car will work such as the lights, air, and radio

Battery condition - age, CCA remaining, etc.?

Alternator condition? Does it charge when running?

What engine do you have?

Has it been scanned for trouble codes?

Engine got real hot and would not turn over with a jump after cooling down is not a good sign.
You need someone to see if motor is not seized by manually trying to turn engine over before doing anything else.
