Are there any renderings of what the 2012 Malibu will look like. I know it was shown off to reporters in August. It's been described as a soften Kia Forte, reminicant of BMW 5 series, looks like the camaro from the rear side. I'm curious to see if Chevy will bring it to the NA Autoshow in January.

No sketches or spy shots, but several very, very, very descriptive reviews by general people & professionals who got to check it over. Otherwise, won't be shown at any soon coming show, but I think before long will at least finally pop up as a mule wearing camo out on the roads to do some of the final road test tests & tweaking.

The Edmunds review of it remains one of the best. GM still doesn't want much else getting out, in any form, so the current very successful design can keep selling for a while;)

Yeah I've read all those descriptions and was hoping someone "artistic" enough would "photo shop" the new regal with the camaro. I have a silverstone 08 that I tinted out and looks very cool at night, but I'd like to see them take the next step and really knock the cover off the ball.

Probably won't be at Detroit, Cadillac XTS concept will be there though.

Chevy reveals new Camaro, Malibu

Robert Snell / The Detroit News

Detroit -- Chevrolet executives unveiled several new vehicles Wednesday, including a convertible Camaro and redesigned Malibu, that they hope will help the brand seize new customers as General Motors Co. shrinks from eight to four brands.

GM expects Chevrolet will account for more than 70 percent of the automaker's sales and is targeting younger customers who want more fuel-efficient vehicles.

"We believe the biggest growth opportunity is right here," in North America, Chevrolet General Manager Jim Campbell told reporters at a product showcase at the Eastern Market.

Chevrolet is building vehicles that fit five segments: trucks, performance, eco, youth and the modern family.

The vehicles will be displayed at next month's North American International Auto Show.

The redesigned Malibu will hit showrooms in about two years and will be built at GM's assembly plant in Detroit-Hamtramck.

The Camaro convertible, meanwhile, debuts in spring 2011.
