I'd want to see the whole thing with better pictures or in person first, but the steering wheel looks nice. Interesting that it has push-button start, too! Not so sure about the rest of the styling so I guess I'll just be patient and wait for more pre-release spy photos. ;)

I like it overall, but I really need to see some more pics and without all the test equimpment in it. But I think it is going to be nice.

I like it overall. Camaro like cluster. But what is up with the area on the passenger side of the dash? Looks like it belongs in Star Trek.
It blends into the passenger HVAC vent. Supposedly will have ambient lighting as well.

I'm not really feeling the vibe here... They're ditching the Corvette dual-cowl in favor of the current Camaro/'60s cues. I suppose it's just a thing, but the dual-cowl (at least the ones that had the wood-like trim) gave the inside a more 'premium' feel. When I look inside there, even after looking at the new Camaros (and test driving plenty, so having seen it in person as well), I must say that personally, the dual-square-pods is just... no something that belongs in the Malibu. If they were less pronounced, perhaps, but not with how big those things are; screams tunnel-vision to me.

The rest (for the most part), I like. The steering wheel looks cool, the push-button start is pretty cool, the center stack with what appears to be Nav looks cool... but, none of it makes me want to look at trading a thing, especially since they're all going to have 4-cylinders (unless they're 200+ hp direct injected 4cyl's).

Can someone please define "dual cowl" for me? I have seen it referred to several times regarding the Malibu. I have had several cars and don't see any noticeable difference... ?
That's two bovines standing butt to butt at a 90-degree angle - dual cow "L".

OK, that was bad, but it was just ripe for the pickin'!

It looks solid and good for a car of this category.

I doubt the screen will be standard (I'd be shocked if it was), and I DO NOT like the Camaro gauges. They look cheap and school-boy tacky/80's on the Camaro, where they're appropriate (it's a Camaro, so it can get away with, if not excels with that kind of stuff), but doesn't belong in what they want to market as a sophisticated "cheap equivalent to a Luxury Car" (per-se).

I am new here having just leased an '11 LS. From what I see here this is not an improvement but, I really like the current cars dash. The in dash nav is a must now a days but, I do not particularly like the Camaro style pods and the slotted area between the dash levels, looks terrible IMO. I am wondering if that area will be covered with flush fitting wood or silver trim depending on the model. As with the exterior pics it still kinda hard to judge so I will wait till I see better pics of both.
