Hand Hood Gesture Automotive exterior Windscreen wiper

Hand Hood Automotive tire Asphalt Automotive exterior

Long story short, my rear defrost stopped working. Changed fuse, relay, and finally took the back panel off and my tab was disconnected. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to put it back on. I’ve seen tons of videos and guides of people using the $20 repair kits but I’m not sure that would work on a tab this long. I can’t find anyone who has successfully put this back on. I’ve got it up with some electrical tape temporarily right now but I’ve been told it’s a bad idea so I’m taking it off. Is this something the dealership could take care of or a mechanic or some glass repair company? I’m lost as I don’t know much about cars and just need this thing to work as it’s the middle of winter where I’m at. Thanks!

Also the repair kit says for best results use in 50 degree weather or higher, it’s freezing where I’m at so i’m worried that would be a waste of time 🥲

I did mine but I'm still not happy with the results. For all the grief that it has been, I just might get another window. I'm serious!

Try a place that is very well rated that replaces automotive windshields . I soldered mine myself with a VERY large soldering IRON, a soldering gun. Silver solder and clean both surfaces very well. Mine has been for at least 8 years
