Like the title says, the infotainment went completely blank on me, no backup camera, no volume/radio control, no output on the speakers or anything. I changed out the fuses but that didn’t do anything, I also tried to do the hard reset by holding the home and fast forward button, I tried unplugging battery and leaving it disconnected for 30 minutes. I did notice the screen will turn on but remain completely black, no logo or messages. Could this be a software issue? Any advice or a possible update I could do via USB?
I dont know why this happened but my 2016 LT 8in screen went out a few weeks ago. Screen was black but the rear camera worked. No sound either. I tried all the tricks I could find online from replacing fuses, disconnecting battery and a series of "push this, wait 10 minutes, close door" etc and it still didnt work. I had to pay almost $700 to have them replace the radio. They didn't tell me what was wrong with it though.
I love, love, love, my 2016 LT However 8-in screen went out on it few weeks ago. I don't know if it's a bump or I started storing it outside in the cold to let the girl’s park inside; or if I spilled too much coffee on the shifter but it comes and goes… sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't...
This is the very first problem of any sort I've had with mine. (Except a few random: shift to park incidents.) I've got 53,000 miles total. I did top off the coolant just today. I have the technical bulletin. When you start hearing the rushing coolant your supposed to top it off 5 to 10 mm above the seam. I had the dealer do the service bulletin in the first year. They changed the coolant. I've had very, very good luck with my 1.5 liter Malibu. I was able to get 16.5 miles per gallon on an hour run...
Please do not try that at home.
