I'm having the same issue with water in the trunk. I took everything out and put towels down to find the leak entry point. I have 2 leak points. One is straight down below the 3rd brake light, the other is on the left side panel behind the cover, but no water accumulating in the trough, just the panel cover damp but not super wet. Some have water leaking inside the car, but not me.

Well after taking everything out of the trunk, drying it out, folding back seats down, putting a towel under 3rd brake light, removing plastic trim piece at the back of lid, and having a Florida rainstorm, I have discovered where my trunk leak was. Water came in where the trunk weatherstripping was. Plus, you can see the black from where water has been sitting for years. Unreal.

That's a good one. All the possible trunk leaks have been discussed a bunch around here. There are several bulletins detailing the various sources. I had a leak from a torn weatherstrip where the harness that runs up the lid rubs on the driver side. Thankfully I use the trunk a lot so it didn't leak long. They put the clip on the wrong side so it rubbed the strip until it tore. I just DIY the trunk weatherstrip - super easy and cheap!

Some bulletins for those that find this when searching for their leak:

I recently had the trunk opened, poured water at the top of trunk lid channel, then closed the trunk and poured water over third brake light, no water leaking anywhere. So, my leak has to be coming from underneath, water coming in when I drive in the rain. Then I discovered 2 tears in a section of the factory tape. So check those out.

Can you point out or circle the tears that you're talking about? I don't see anything that would leak.
