RE: AIR FILTER LIFE

Since purchasing this vehicle in March, 2021, the Air Filter Life readout has gone from 100% to 85% and has stopped.

Is there a sensor that "reads" the air filter and predicts when its time to change?

It's probably time or mileage computed. My '20 Traverse has that feature also and it's been at 85% for a while also. It doesn't get driven much so I don't know what it's doing currently. 10k miles on it currently.

If you're going to start your thread with "RE: Air filter life'" that should be your title so people know what your thread is about before they click on it. (I fixed it for you.)

I'm old school. I replace once a year. Its cheap enough to buy 2x filters for the price of 1 OE ACDelco filter. lol

In my experience an air filter lasts 50,000 miles or more unless you drive on dusty dirt roads. My 06 Malibu went 72,000 miles on one air filter and I didn't notice any difference when I changed it. A dirty air filter filters better until it becomes overly restrictive.
