I recently purchased a 2022 Malibu RS. I was wanting to add fog lights to the vehicle. I have seen as seen in the first picture, lights that curve down. Mine is like the one in the 2nd photo with the red car. It does not have lights going down like in the dark car. Just blinker.

Does anyone know if I get replacements like on the dark car, will the wiring all connect?

Neither of those cars appear to have fog lights. Are you referring to the fancy LED running lights?

Even if it's a direct swap for the existing wiring, it's probably going to need a dealer reprogram. These sorts of mods tend to be more trouble than they're worth.

I don't think I've seen anyone else attempt the swap on this site.

The LED DRL aren't fog lights but often times fog lights aren't really fog lights either. I've only been in one car that had a proper functional fog light the others had a fog light but they were never bright enough. The LED DRL in my 16 are pretty darn bright but don't do anything special in fog. If this is an aesthetic thing and you have interest in saving your headlights that are currently the DRL, it can be done for about $500. I recall a couple users that did this on a 16 or 17 but I don't believe anyone has done the 19+ yet. IMO and like @cp-the-nerd said... I'm not sure the cost and effort is worth it and could run into problems. Could be "fun" if you don't mind the cost.

First, to avoid having to get a reprogram that they'll never do, you need a harness and fuse mod. You can buy one here: 19-22 Malibu DRL Adapter Harness They have an all-in-one kit for the 2016-2018 that includes the wiring and DRLs but apparently they never put one together for the refresh models.

Then you need to buy the turn signals that have the integrated LED DRL. You need the passenger side and driver side. Right now the driver side is backordered. Signal Lamps for 2020 Chevrolet Malibu | GMPartsDirect.com They are part 84843550 and 84843549. Make sure you get "with" and not "without".
