We have the 4 cyl LT2 and find that it seems to stay in first and second too long to make optimum gas mileage. We find ourselves backing off on the gas pedal to force it to shift sooner into third and 4 gears. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? Can the shift points be altered?

I imagine they could with a chip to modify the PCM, but I have no experience with these chips. Changing the shift points for MPG would certainly affect acceleration.

And I'm not sure if this would create issues with your warranty.
