I'm wondering why your doing this? Plus in regards to your deck question? I thought you where getting rid of your Bu.

Adding these things does not raise the cars value, you will eat most if not all the cost when you sell it. I'd save your self the time and effort for you new ride.

As these mods are user specific. To suite your liking.

Yes, if you're trying to sell the car you will really scare off some potential customers with a vehicle that's been all cut up. (except for maybe the 18-21 demographic)

Very nice ... have any other pictures (step by step) of how to remove the rear deck in order to get to the rear speakers?

Thanks

i dont have any pics but its pretty simple...

1. Remove the rear door sill panels
2. let both seats down
3. the rear seat structure is bolted to the back so remove those 2
4. remove the 2 push pins from the carpet liner (trunk part you can see)
5. remove the 2 push pins from the top door sill panel.
6. finish removing the panels including the top 2 back rear (light grey/tan ones)
7. lift up the rear deck, disconnect a wire (youll see it) and then you'll see the 6x9s
8. they are glued down down so i just used a panel popper and lifted up to break the glue
9. they slide out and disconnect them and there ya go

I have a super mean rattle or something should I just take it part and look in side or what?

I am guessing your rattle is the plastic that GM used on these rear deck plates! I get a rattle also when I play any music with deep bass sounds!

Many have this same problem because GM decided to put plastic instead of some other material that would not rattle! I think GM had over done it a little too much with the plastic!

If your rattle is really bad, you may have loosen something up by high volume settings , who knows? I never had this issue with any of my other vehicles, current / past except this car but again my other cars don’t or didn’t have any plastic deck plates!

I am sure there are some Guys here that could give you some advise on insulating and the use of some materials to help eliminate / reduce the rattle!

Good luck!
