I have a low mileage 97, under 100,000km.
Nothing like being in cottage country, go to leave and the ignition won't turn.
$840 in parts from GM for a lousy ignition key barrel and ignition switch, then I find out the same parts could be had through the internet for $300.
If given the choice I'd much rather have the car stolen then being stranded. I then do a search on the internet and find out Gm has known of this problem for years.
And GM, when I buy the parts from you, and you would not give me details on how to replace the parts beacuse you say I might be a thief, give me a break.
Never again.
