Ok so, my ABS light came on today and i took it to the local advance auto parts store so they can connect their device to check the error codes to see what was going on and these are the codes that popped up.....they read as follows....

B1225 Left Front Excessive Wheel Speed Variation

B1221 Left Front Wheel Speed = 0

B1232 Left Front Wheel Speed Circuit Open

B1241 Right Front Expansion Spring Brake Will Not Hold Motor

B1291 Open Brake Lamp Switch Ciriut during Deceleration

C1291

C1292 Open Brake Switch when Antilock Brake System Was Required

These are what came up. i think most of them are saying that i need to replace the left front wheel speed sensor in which i might just as well do the whole bearing assy. while i am at it. But the one that baffles me is the B1241. What is it? any help on these codes would be great thanks Guy and Gals.

B1241 (I think that should read C1241) is not really a DIY item. The motor in question is in the brake motor pack (part of the brake pressure modulator valve assembly). These motors drive a piston each to modulate the hydraulic pressure (to the right front side in this case). The expansion spring literally expands inside the motor shaft housing to keep the motor from turning during normal, non-ABS operations. When it's not doing its job, the piston can move back and bleed the pedal-generated pressure. I'd think this is a dangerous condition.

its very dangerous to try yourself at home, i was a tech at a chevy house for awhile and am gm certified and an ase L1. you have to use a scan tool to relieve gear and spring tension before opening the line or it will injure you...possibly kill you, so your better off taking it to the dealer

Thanks for bringing up the warning. I actually wasn't looking that far ahead. By "dangerous condition," I simply meant the uneven hydraulic pressure between the left and right sides especially since the ABS is disabled when the ABS warning indicator is lit. I'd certainly hope no one fools around with the BPMV without a proper scan tool and shop manual.

i have taken on some really tough items before. it shouldn't be a problem. but the code reads B1241 not C1241. I did get the hub assy. changed out and cleared all code before doing my test drive. the only codes that came back are the C1291 and C1292 any ideas? oh and as a responce to and earleir post i Changed the transmission filter and flushed refilled with new clean fluid and it seams to still do the same thing.

Some other ideas would be great on this issue as well.
Thank you for all your input so far. it has been atleast guiding me towards fiinding the solution.

I'm not sure why the scanner read B1241 because EBCM codes belong to the Chassis. As to C1291 and C1292, when the brake pedal is pressed, the brake switch closes and sends the battery voltage to the stop lamps and the EBCM. The EBCM will not activate ABS without the signal. Those codes mean that the EBCM detected a deceleration event (C1291) and an event that required ABS activation (C1292), respectively, without detecting the brake switch signal. See the STOP LAMP FEED wire on the diagram http://cid-54465800aad91b49.office.live.com/self.aspx/pub/va125245.pdf.
