A television commercial is being broadcast here in Quebec (sorry, only in french) featuring a Malibu. It uses humour to show how ridiculous it is to try and make up for lost time on the road in urban areas. I have to admit that I recognize myself sometimes... and what about you Bu members ?

Doesn't look like me at all! When I'm blasting off from the light I make sure I'm going so fast that I can't stop at the next yellow and just blow through it. (Do you think I'm pulling yer leg? I'll let you decide! )

Haha! I laugh at people pulling that stuff. Over time I have learned to be patient and take my time since its just about the same.

I've had this discussion with people on numerous occasions. If you do the math on speeding it really starts to make less and less sense in most cases. For example, on the highway if you go 5mph over the limit we all know you're pretty much never going to get ticketed. If you go 10mph over the limit you run a good chance of getting a ticket. By going 10 over instead of 5 over for an hour on the highway you'll shave a whopping 5 minutes off the drive while putting yourself in jeopardy of being pulled over for the entire hour. In the city speeding makes even less sense, you'll really be shaving hardly any time off your commute at all when you start taking lights and stop signs into consideration. I just don't even bother speeding anymore other than going a few over the limit.
