I am new and before I get yelled at I have read through all 8 pages in this forum looking for an answer to my question without any luck.

My problem is similar to ones that other have experienced on here with a new exciting twist.
I have had the problem with the battery and ABS light coming on after running the air conditioner. My alternator is 2 years old and I took it the shop and they said that was not the problem. They also replaced a switch that controlled electronics thinking that would solve it but it did not. The new problem that I've been having is when I have 5 people or a heavier load the battery light comes on. I know that the car has to work harder with more weight but I'm not sure what the problem could be.

Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

What is this "switch" they replaced? They checked your alternator and battery as you said, but what about the cables? Is the belt tension tight?

Not exactly sure what the switch was. I'll have the wire checked to see if that may be the problem, thanks.

To clarify the switch was an electronic relay. Also, I took it to Autozone to have them to a diagnostic of the alternator which came back fine but they said there was something causing a power drain on the system which was causing the battery light to come on. I'm going to have the alternator and starter wires checked tomorrow, I'll update with what I find out.

I had some corrosion on my battery terminals so I cleaned those off and I have not had a recurrence of the problem. I really hope that solves things.
