Another Problem

These little problems are beginning to get annoying. First the door seals, then the condensation in the headlights, and now today I went to get out of my car after driving home from work and the door wouldn't open. I locked and unlocked the doors a few times but still couldn't open it. I had to roll the window down and open the door from the outside. It has been really cold here so I don't know if that is causing the problem or not. It is supposed to be really cold here for the next few days so it is probably going to be a while before I can warm the door up enough to see.

it needs a new door lock actuator/latch assembly. ran into this before on malibus, and cobalts. just double check the door rods to make sure they are intact, and the cable for the handle, if equipped. recently i have seen alot of problems with door latches, sometimes they wouldnt even open from either direction.

What makes you think the door mechanisms are the same for the new Malibu? They are not the same body style as the old cars.

Well it has been working ok for me today so I don't know what it's problem was. I guess I will keep an eye on it and take it in if it does it again.
After reading all these problems I really am so lucky not to have had a single problem... I really do sympathise with you.. make them replace the vehicle.
They aren't problems worthy of a vehicle replacement though. It's just annoying little things. Then it seems like the dealership isn't interested when you take the problem to them which makes it even more annoying. If I went to them with this they'd be like if it isn't doing it now there isn't anything we can do for you so there is no point. I can't wait until I take the car in for the condensation in the headlights. They will probably say its normal or they will say they can't do anything about it until no light comes out anymore or GM won't let us waaaah...
i know what youre talking about with the "annoying little problems" i have a list started now, and eventually when i get the time, and a good dealer to call (i moved from the area in which i bought the car from) im going to take it in for all of the small issues i have. rattles, the tailpipe chrome coming off, sitiches coming out of the seat, steering column knocking. yeah, annoying little problems.
