My son just reported 117k on his 2008, but I don’t consider that “high mileage”.
I buy all my vehicles new and drive them at least 222,222 miles (I call it “The 62 Club”). My experience has proven that, buying new and maintaining myself (and assuming it’s not a “lemon”, or it was proven to be manufactured with defective sub-components like piston rings in the engine or wave plates in the transmission), I can get any vehicle to 100,000 miles with absolutely no trouble, to 150,000-175,000 with very little trouble, and over 200,000 with maybe chronic, but not fatal issues ... and continue driving it indefinitely!
So - I’d say >200,000 miles is “high mileage”.
My 2011 Equinox is about to cross the 175,000 threshold. 2002 Impala just crossed 242,000. ‘97 Taurus at 230k, ‘89 Mitsubishi at 250k. Next year they’ll all be high mileage vehicles.
Think my next vehicle will be an EV. Not sure how I’ll define “high mileage” then ...
