Anyone PTM their grills with black granite metallic?

I'm going to PTM all the bowties, but I can't help but think the grilles would look really good painted black granite metallic as well. The silver grills on my dark car stand out just a little too much for my liking.

Does anyone have pictures of their car painted this way?

I had to remove the bumper. Then each grille is held on with 8 screws, plus two more for the 5-MPH plastic thingies that are at the bottom of the bottom grille. Take a peek inside yours and you'll see 'em. Next spring I'm thinking about trimming them so they're not visible from the outside. It'll allow more air through the opening and look just a tad better, IMHO. Right now, if you look real close, you can see a slight difference in parts of the lower red grille where they are.
Here's what I did to mine. I took my silvery-white LTZ grilles out and shipped them to a member in Virginia, who returned his black ones to me. When I was looking at the LTZ's I noticed that they aren't painted or clear coated. They're just the color of the plastic they use to make them. Getting the black ones back it's the same story - color of the plastic. I had fully intended to put the black ones in but finally pulled the trigger and painted 'em. Even if I wanted them to be black I was gonna clear coat them with maybe some extra black color underneath, but red interests me more!
