On my old '98 I had back in the day, all I did was pull the fuse. Worked fine and gave me no SES light. Honestly removing a fuse for the lamps should not give you a service ENGINE soon light. I pulled the fuse on my previous G6 GTP, and on this Malibu as well. No SES lights.

Boy it is frustrating sometimes when I need to turn my car and not have the headlights turn on automaticly. So a while back I got the manufacture 3 book manual, for $14 off ebay: everyone else wanted $60 -70. But these books can be confusing so I am turning to you.
What fuse is the automatic headlight system (know it is the engine fuse box)?
And a side note the fuse or module for the door chime?
