I have an early year 2009 LTZ with the 6-disc changer/Aux port. My Aux port went bad and would only make connection with part of the plug to give me Mono sound. While the nostalgia of the 70's was nice, I can't justify listening to Mono sound.
I took it to the dealership this morning to have the head unit replaced under warranty (Assuming it's not a lose connection that they can fix). I asked if they could swap it out for a late year head unit that has the USB port instead.
The service manager said he's not sure if they can do that, but he'd look into it. My question is whether there is a difference between the LTZ head unit and the 1/2LT head units? Since they would both have single disc with USB I can't imagine that they would be different.
Does anyone know the part number's to the head units and if there is a price difference? I know the dealer said that if it cost more for the USB HU that I'd have to pay the difference.
