Ok, so I have the aux port in my car stock, normal unit, nothing changed since I got the car. Unfortunately, my girlfriend was a little rough on the aux cord I had plugged in for my mp3 player, and somehow managed to break the head off of the cord right above the top o ring. I have tried a few different methods of getting the piece of the jack out, but have not succeeded.

I took the car to both a dodge dealership (where we got it) and to the GM dealer across the street. The guys at the dodge dealership had nothing ( didnt surprise me there) and the Goodwrench boys told me that the only way to remove it would be to remove the radio and ship it to Tampa for some other guy to extract it. Didnt exactly feel like taking up that ordeal.

So I need to know if you all have any ideas, or maybe have even had and solved this problem before. Also, if possible, I really dont want to try to take the unit out. Thanks a bunch

Well I was going to give you some idea's... Then I stumbled on this thread:

You will have to use some Kung-Fu, but you should be able to remove it... Good luck

Did you get the little bugger out yet? If you did I'm wondering which way seemed to work best.

A month old but here's what I'd try:
If you still have the cable with the broken jack mix a little JB Weld & very carefully put just a very small amount on the broken jack & push it into the aux in port. Allow to set for 24 hours & if you didn't use too much it should pull out in one piece. If any squeezes out you've bricked it but it's bricked now so it's worth trying. The key is to NOT allow any JB Weld to squeeze out so we're talking using just a tiny drop. JB Weld cures as solid as a stone if you haven't worked with it before. If you dont have the broken cable you can cut a new one off & hopefully get a good enough mating. I can't come up with any another method.

put a piece of small straw (like a coffee stirrer) around the old piece to keep the JB Weld from squeezing out into the port itself.

Im way late, but I thought I had come back to this. I actually was able to remove the jack by using a safety pin. Using needlenose pliers, I removed the "safety" cover of the pin, and bent the two tips of the pin. One was at a 30-45 degree angle while the other was closer to 75 degrees. By switching between these two ends, I was able to reach around the jack, and pry it lose from the holding inside the port. However i could not get it out. To fix this, I just used a shopvac, and turned it on in quick bursts, to make sure i heard it come out.
