At least every two weeks I need to add a pint of brake fluid to my 09 Malibu. I have inspected and found no visible leaks. I have no puddles in the drive when I should since the fluid doesn't evaporate. I have not taken it to the dealer. I do most my own maintenance so I hope to fix this myself. Any other things that could be swallowing my fluid? I am open to any suggestions.

First off, change to a "racing blue" type of brake fluid. It doesn't help you stop any better, but it's really, REALLY noticable where it leaks :eek:

Second - if you can't find ANY place it's leaking, it just about has to be the master cylinder leaking into the booster, and there into the intake.

That's the only place it can disappear.

Check your vacuum booster hose.

If the car is still under warranty it sounds like you should take it into the dealer to have them check it. Some of the brake system may not be under warranty due to being wear items but a lot of it is such as the master cylinder, etc is covered by the 3/36.

I had the same problem and finally figured out it was my right rear caliper was defective. I would lose breakfluid at a higher pace on the highway due to the force.

The caliper was under warrenty, but because of the problem both rear roaters needed to be "turned" and I needed rear pads too because the right side was working harder.
I've been doing my own breaks for 20 years so I know they were not trying to take advantage. Still will cost me $300

You may want to put news paper underneath the car and keep forcefully pumping the breaks to figure out where, but also look inside your tires rims
