Has anyone had any problems with brakes? I have 43,000 miles on my 08 LTZ and am on my 3rd set of brakes.... yes 3rd set... also, am now having problems with the brake LIGHTS. When i am driving, i can see that the brake lights come on without me even touching the brake pedal. For them to go off, i have to tap the pedal but within 10 seconds, the lights come back on.... i was told there is a switch near the brake pedal that might be faulty. Anyone have any issues with this? or does anyone know an easy fix? i dont feel like taking it into the dealer for the 20th time.....

What type of brake problems are you having? Pads wearing out, one or both sides wearing out, rotors warping? Who is fixing the brakes? Are the rotors turned when new pads, or new rotors? Is there any chance your brakes are dragging all the time, hence the light on? More info would help make a guess.

Dunno about the lights but all four of my rotors warped, and the pads had about 15% left at about 35,000 miles, at 46,000 now. $365.00 later all four rotors were turned and new pads installed by the dealer, yeah that one hurt...

It’s been my experience that warped rotors are most likely due to improper torque of the wheels. I used to hand tightened, my rotors would warp and pads would wear fast. Since I stared using a torque wrench, this problem has gone away.

Correct. Most wheels only need to be torqued to about 100 ft. lbs.
Which really isn't as much as most think.
