Hello everyone, its nice to be a new member and see all the good feedback on the Malibu's. I was at the dealer today and saw a nice demo 1LT fully loaded with about 5600 miles on it. The wife really needs a new car. I think the cars MSRP was 26,800. They offered me $2200 for two old trade-ins which after I blued booked them it was a good price. I talk them down to 25,000 plus they said I would get $2000 rebate. Total $4200 off with trades. So the bottom line with taxes title, and doc fees is $22,603.00

My question is do you members here think this is a fair deal?

Thanks for any input.

SMM it sounds a little high to me. I don't know where you live but I buoght an 09 2LT demo with 6000 miles and the 3.6 V6 package 6spd trans the window sticker showed $27800 and I talked them down to $21000 with no trades but it took me two days of haggeling and I finally talked to the sales manager. It seems like they could give you more than a $1800 discount. You might look two threads down from yours, lot of info. Just my 2.

Yeah, that seems really high. I paid 23k for my LTZ. You might want to mention that the car has 5600 miles and isn't new anymore. Don't let them pull the BS about still being new because the title hasn't been registered. I wouldn't pay more than 20k for that car.

Thanks Guys, It ended up being a 2LT loaded for $20,500 plus tax. I should have gotten a better deal but its to late now.

Sounds like you did ok SMM. I think that was a decent price. I paid $500 more for my 2LT loaded.
