Hi, I found a used 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Limited 4dr Sdn LT (generation 8), 51260km, for $13,000, reduced from $16,000.
The mileage seems a bit high, and the car had a minor accident (fixed for $2000). Some wear and tear, nothing major.
The car has been sitting in the lot for quite some time.
I test drove the car (a short drive with the sales person) and couldn’t see any issues, but when I asked if I can have it checked by a mechanic, they said yes, but only at their lot.
What should I be looking for? Any know issues, or tips?
My car is having transmission problems, so I may need to get a new one. This sounds like a good deal, maybe too good?
Oh, also, they are asking for documentation $599 and Road Hazard warranty $299 … After I told them I don’t need the road warranty, they admitted it’s optional, but hey... I hate dealing with car sales people.
