I just did mine today, and I agree, what a pain in the butt for something so minor. The door would not swing all the way open as it was being blocked by other plastic pieces. Then for whatever reason, I couldn't get my glove box light connector to unplug. Was finally able to force the door open by pushing other pieces out of the way, and just popped the whole light assembly out of its mounting point. I can see how the guy above me broke one of the tabs, I bent the hell out of the one on the left side while forcing the door open.

For anybody doing this, make sure you shop around for a filter. You'll find filters from $11 to $55. I got mine for $11 at O'Reilly's
