Hey guys I was thinking of painting the calipers and was browsing around to see what paint I should use. A family friend who restores corvettes told me to try POR15. I was looking on their website and looking at the high temp paint. So I was thinking of getting the POR20 aluminum paint http://www.por15.com/POR-20-ALUMINUM/productinfo/P2G/ . I live in Chicago so I liked the fact this paint is very weather, salt, and moisture resistant. Has anyone else painted their calipers? If so what did you go with? I honestly just want to paint them a silver or gray color.

That is the best stuff, I've used it in the past. I used the Duplicolor stuff on the Malibu and Speed3. I had the ones on the Camaro powdercoated which is the best if you can have the downtime.

I'm in Chicago too and was thinking of tackling the job -- but I'm looking at using a duplicolor black kit that I have on hand... Finally good enough weather for some mods!

Black or silver would be my vote.

However, it's your car, so you can ignore my opinion easily enough :p

If the POR 20 is as tough as their POR 15 paint, the paint will last until the calipers are gone.

I've been thinking about painting my calipers - I've seen several cars with the red calipers, but I wonder if the color fades due to heat and weather.

I saw a '10 Mocha Bu last year with Ford blue-colored calipers: not bad, they were different.

Guess I have to decide on the color, then the paint, and git 'er done....
