Hi All
I have a 2012 Malibu 4 cylinder with approx 45k miles. It has been running well (not a fast car) but it is now running very poorly. It is approx 109 degrees today in phoenix, so its cooler than yesterday and it ran fine yesterday.
The car was running fine
I park and go into a shop for a couple of mins
I come out, jump in the car, I start the car and it is running as though its on 2 or 3 cylinders
the service traction warning comes on
eng pwr reduced comes on
service ESC comes on
The check engine light comes on
the traction light came on (the one that comes on when you loose traction)
I limp home and attach my scanner and i get code P1682$07E8
I try to erase the code but it is still there and the engine is still running very rough.
i tried erasing the code with a/c on and off and that made no difference.
its my daily driver and i use it for work, i am fairly handy and I hope to fix it myself.
Any thoughts?
