Coolant sensor leak

2308 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  JonnyAbs
Hello, this weekend I was replacing the valve cover gasket and noticed the sensor in the water outlet was sleeping out coolant. I replaced the sensor today with a new one and it is still leaking. It seems there isn't enough downward pressure on the sensor to keep it from leaking. Is this a common thing I just have to live with or should I go ahead and buy a new water outlet? Thanks.

New sensor should have had a new O ring. Since it's still leaking change the housing. Plastics can warp or crack over time.
Just had to do heater hose plastic connectors in my Tahoe for seeping/dripping.
