Hello! my car (08') was a rental so it doesn't have the xm radio option on my HU, my first question would be that if I could just buy one HU that has it and then all I would need is to add the antenna? (I guess this questions are for people that have upgraded their HU for an aftermarket one) is there an antenna plug on the back of the radio? could you get pics of the back?

And lastly if all of this is correct, does anybody want to trade HU's??

If your car did not come from the factory with it then you will need to add the module, antenna and possibly the radio not sure on the radio. Your best bet is to go talk to your dealer and see if they can help you.
