UAW local 31 posted a letter from the Fairfax Communications Manager referencing Nov 1 as the date Malibu resumes production. That info was current as of Sept 20. It takes a couple weeks to get setup, plus the actual production time, and transport to local dealers. That puts cars arriving early to mid December. The good news is that info comes from actual GM corporate-side employees and the local UAW. The bad news is previous dates - speculative or leaked from unnamed internal sources - slipped several times.
Curious about the 2022 Malibu Production.
So I put in an order custom for an LT 2022 Malibu yesterday at my local Chevrolet dealership they said anywhere from 6:00 to 12 weeks. But I am reading online that the Fairfax plant isn't starting Malibu production until mid-December which my dealer never told me anything about that. Just curious what you guys think about it do you think that means that my car won't even get here for probably 6 to 10 months since they haven't even started production yet any other news?

Apparently Fairfax is making Malibus again. If I understand the announcement correctly, they are currently filling backorders for '21s and production of '22s begins in December.
