Deleting Directions in the Turn by Turn

I have 2 directions stored in my Virtual Advisor that were used as part of the turn by turn navigation feature of Onstar. One direction I sent to the car from Mapquest, the other I had Onstar download to the car. I don't need them now and I haven't been able to delete them. I called Onstar and what the representative told me to do didn't work. I can go pull out the manual but thought I might post and see if someone can just tell me simply how to do this.

I bought my 2010 LT1 in Mocha Steel/Ebony Jan 28. It has just turned 4,500 miles and everything is good except I'm still getting used to the transmission and the way it shifts. I said something to the dealer when I did the test drive and they said they would check it for an update, which they did. They said they reflashed the transmission. I thought I could tell an improvement at first, but now I'm not so sure. Is this something that might need to be done again or is it something to just live with?

BTW, I came out of a first generation Buick Lacrosse which was a major disappointment in my opinion. I chose the Malibu over the new Lacrosse simply because I'm going to put a lot of miles on the car and it is going to be sitting in a crowded parking lot where it will probably get it share of dings and all. I didn't see putting the extra money in the Lacrosse. In fact, I just like the look of the Malibu, I always have, from the first time I saw it back as an 08 model.

The one major wish I had for this car was to have a real tilt steering wheel. I am a tilt wheel user from way back. My dad had a 66 Chrysler with tilt and telescope and he and mother used to have to adjust it for their preference all the time. I guess growing up with that made me a tilt wheel user. Why I didn't catch this in the test drive, I don't know.

Additionally, I feel the LT1 was a good value. The little extra between it and the LS was well worth it. However, I don't quite understand the greater price spread between the LT1 and LT2. And while I really would have liked to have had an LTZ, I didn't see where it was worth all the extra they are charging for. And I would like to see the V6 option available on all models, not just the LT2 and the LTZ. My opinion, of course.

Regarding the Difference in Price between the LT1 & LT2:

I just got my LT2 about a month ago. Very happy with it. The big difference in price from the LT1 to the LT2 is the many more standard features offered in the LT2.

Lot's of luck with your Malibu. The LT1 is a great car and a great value. I believe you made the correct decision in getting the LT1 over the LS. Just the more advanced transmission along with the better gas mileage makes the LT1 a better value IMO.

I just wish we had an exit lever for the "tilt" wheel. (It ain't really tilt, it's lift. Kinda sorta.) Not a complaint, just a wish list.

I was very surprised that the Malibu doesn't offer any type of memory package. I had looked into it when I was looking for different features of the Malibu. I'm talking about the memory package where you set the seat position, adjust the mirrors, etc. and it will remember that position. I really liked that feature for the seats. It takes forever to get your seat in the perfect position and all it takes is one valet to adjust the seat and you've lost your settings. I also liked the exit feature where the seat went all the way back when you opened the driver's door. Much easier to get in and out of the car. That was part of the memory package as well. With all the features the Malibu has, I'm surprised they don't offer this package.

Okay, I confirmed how to delete stored routes. If you stored a route that was uploaded by an Onstar Representative, hit the Phone Button and say "Delete Route Destination". It will then ask you for the name tag of the stored route you want to delete. You can get a list of the stored routes by saying "Route Destination Directory". Do this before you say Delete Route Destination.

If you saved it through Mapquest, you delete stored routes in Mapquest. Do this the next time you store a new route through Mapquest. When you send the directions to your car, it will list your previously stored routes. You can delete all of them, or individual routes by clicking on the icon of the garbage can. You can only store 5 routes in Mapquest, so be prepared to delete old routes that you no longer need.
