I did Battery relocation to the trunk so it's no problem....This is simple: quote from the owner: "not that hard .. just have to weld support on the frame and know the correct part (like the axles, shifter, clutch pedal comes from a 2001 alero 2.4 but the tranny itself from a cavalier 2200SFI)"
Shifter, if you look, the malibu a/t shifter and the 95-04 cavalier is exactly the same, so the manual shifter should also fit![]()
secondo: cavalier pedals also are the same...
third: it's the transmission who came with the 2.4 engine(not sure if is the same for the ecotec engine) (alero, cavalier).
forth: as you can see, he did a battery relocation, (maybe in the truck like cars as the chysler 300 ?)
a few questions leaves, did he do an PCM reprogrammation (to ignore the a/t data). BTW yeah, 3400 with manual transmission should be more interesting than stock 3100 vin M with a/t![]()
Oh alright... well i would like to be able to turn my malibu into manual transmission... and be able to have up to 750 hp... (with procharger) and well i would like to know exactly which manual transmission that could tolerate that much power... I just want to have really great acceleration, power, and all of that.. If you know exactly transmission that would easily fit in my motor and easily handle that much power.... I would love to know!lol no he didn't tell in the video, i saw this infos from another forumHumm the only question who lives is "do this tranny will support the power and torq from an S/C engine?" don't forget that is basicly a 4 cyl tranny...
if you realy want to swap an M/T with S/C engine, i know that some ppl already done with old versions of cavaliers Z24(1988 to 1994), originaly the car came with getrag transmission and seems to work fine with 3400/3800 engines...
Are you serious???? your joking right??Oh alright... well i would like to be able to turn my malibu into manual transmission... and be able to have up to 750 hp... TampaJoe - Sometimes, when I read a few of the posts here (more so on other forums), I think of this:Are you serious???? your joking right??
