Hi all,

Malibu Rookie post here......

I just got my 09 Malibu 1LT last weekend.

It has the phone button the the steering wheel , and I asked the sales person if it had bluetooth. She said yes.

No I have tried the pairing proceedure and it fails to recognise the 'bluetooth' command. Asking for help it does not list it as a command. so my assumption here is that it does not have that option... I'm hoping that someone can prove me wrong!!

If it doesn't I've read a couple of posts that it just needs a bluetooth antenna for the CIM (no idea what that is but it sounds like the a computer module of some sort). Has anyone done this? Did teh software need to be flashed? Can you even buy an antenna?

Other than that love the car!!! :)

the VCIM is the vehcile control interface module and is a rather elusive part if it did not come with the vehicle. If yours has the blue tooth you should check the data sheet. but if not you can do your best to try and find one but the down side is that unless you can get a new module had have GM install it you will lose your onstar, because the vcim is registered to a vehicle and one set it will always be seen as the car it came from so onstar will not recognize your car. You can get a aftermarket blue tooth like a scosche bluefusion.. My wifes Bu has the blue tooth and it is great.. I have the scosche and its good just not as good as the factory GM unit.. good luck
