Looks good.. So the kit that you buy comes with a silver surround, I'm guessing.. WOW.. the one pic with the "colorful" interior is that one of those LTZ's?? I didn't know that some came with the digital HVAC controls.. That looks real nice.. So many wants!!!!

I could be wrong but I think the install kits come in black only. TintedOut09 painted the surround silver to match the rest of the dash.

Engineer25 could you chime in and let us know if you did the same? I would like to know because I plan on installing one of these units in the Bu sometime in the future.

That's correct. The kit comes in black but we painted it with spray paint from the auto parts store.

don't mean to change the subject, but I think it could be discussed in here.

for the people with the in-dash navigations:

How do you like having the HU in that spot? I mean in the lower middle, I'm used to looking at my garmin hung on the windshield, I'm afraid it might be too low to look at the HU screen to follow directions, I'm planning on getting on one of this units but I want some feedback on the navigating part

When I had OnStar the directions scrolled in the radio window and I never had an issue looking at them and feeling unsafe while driving. Now I have a Garmin that is mounted on the lid of the center glove box. (I have the wood dash overlay kit and the lid is now smooth enough to let me use the suction cup.) I prefer the moving map of the Garmin immensely over the dot matrix of the OnStar in the radio. I'm a fan of bigger displays as well, so if I ever decide to get an in-dash nav HU I believe that it would not pose any hazards to safety for me. And with the slight tilt of the center area it seems to be at a good angle for a nav HU. Hmmmm, maybe the designers had something in mind, eh?
