Hi,
2015 malibu, 2.5L, LT
My rubber slide latch knob is melting on the display secret compartment.
Has anyone else had this problem.
If so how did you fix it or correct it or ???
I can't find the part online.
I don't want to spend hundreds on a new display just for a rubber knob.
This was my first new car and I have taken very good care of it.
I'm getting ready to take early retirement to care for my disabled wife and
wanted this car to run and look good as long as possible. I have only had the dealer
work on it.
I'm very disappointed that something like this is happening to a new car.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes mine has melted as well.
dealer never heard of it vehicle now 8 years old. I like the idea of wiping off the rubber coating since the other option is to buy a $500 display.
