SOLVED: E-brake indicator won't come on when pedal pressed

My brake light comes on when I turn the ignition like it should, so I know the bulb works; I think the switch is shot, or at least needs adjustment. Problem is I cant find it. I know it is "up at the top of the lever assembly" but I cant see where it's supposed to be...

here are some pictures... If someone can take the time to mark on them where the switch should be that would be great. I think someone said on a different thread that they had a guide, but they never posted it... That would be fine too.

EDIT: found it; I took out the whole computer housing (3 nuts you have to remove; make sure your wires are clear)

Apparently part of the switch was actually broken off... see below

We fixed it; something people should know is that there is a notch on top of /next to? the large tension spring that the switch spring inserts into. to access the whole thing you have to unplug and remove the computer AND the plastic housing. there are 3 bolts on the housing (two on the sides that are less obvious) if I remember right, you need 7mm, 8mm, 9mm, and 10mm, a mirror, good flashlight, contortionist, kitchen sink, and advil... hope all of this helps anyone else with the problem!

(you can buy a replacement at sites like rockauto.com, but we just made our own spring from a thin sheet of stainless steel that came out of a laptop

sharxbyte, I would like to thank you for following up with the outcome and photos.

I have a permanent "Brake" indicator light, and I need to investigate the parking brake switch. This will be a big help.
