Not thrilled with this code lol. 15 2.5 2lt with 137K. Did a full health report, one module (multi axis acceleration speed module, MAASM) had a code for lost communication with the EBCM. I was able to go into both modules on my scanner, and I saw no problems so I cleared the code, and did another full health report to be sure. This time, the car went nuts during the scan, flashing warning messages to brake assist, power steering, tranction control, my brake and abs lights came on, my needles on the IC went nuts, and all kinds of beeps were coming from the speakers. This lasted maybe 5 seconds. The cel came on, and there were 8 communication codes in various modules (included below). The ebcm is now completely offline and now says not equipped on the vehicle. After saving the health report, I cleared the codes again and there's no more communication codes, but the ebcm is still offline and acting like its not there. It's still functional as I have no issues with any of the braking or traction systems, but does anyone have any clues as to what's up with my high-speed can?

Not sure what's going on with your codes, but I will say that whenever I use my meter to test anything with ABS, I have the same experience with the flashing ABS, Traction control, the beeping, etc. Those lights stay on for the duration of the test and go off when I exit the test. I think that part of your issue may be somewhat normal, at least with my experience with my meter while testing ABS and the Brake module.

Other than that, I can only guess you've lost your EBCM, bad connection or some other communication issue with the module, etc. But that is certainly a guess. I'm sure someone else here will be of more help.

Never did find a resolution, between software updates on my scan tool and just some time, my EBCM came back online, car doesn't go nuts when I scan it, and I dont get comm codes in all the modules anymore. Still have one comm code in the MAASM but im not concerned with it as the car drives and operates fine. You might just wanna try disconnecting your battery for at least 15-20 minutes and seeing what that does before you dive deep into a rabbit hole chasing a potentially bad module, or no issue at all. It drove me crazy for months looking at wiring diagrams trying to find an issue that resolved itself in the end 🤣

Thanks for your update! I was thinking that the scanner was hard on the can bus and made it act up but i have not had the time to try it on a different car. What scanner do you use and does it work as is should on other cars? 🤠

I have a Launch elite X431, it's worked fine for other vehicles but I think I only used obd2 and not the full gm software like I did on my car. It was a new for 2022 tool so it might have been a scanner issue that software updates fixed. I think GMs CANs are just really sensitive and finicky, but if your car does start to present issues then it might be an actual problem
