Hey there,

I'm new to the Malibu forum but have been driving Malibu's for the past couple years. I just bought a 2010 1LT and was checking out Eibach's site for lowering springs. The only ones I could find were made for the V6 Malibu. Has anyone tried using the pro-kit on their 1LT? I'm not sure how it would fit. Please let me get some feed back

AFAIK the suspension setups on the 2.4 and 3.6 Malibus are exactly the same.

The spring rates are different on the I4 and V6. So if you put springs from a V6 on an I4 the front will tend to sit a little higher then desired.

Won't cause any harm, just might look a little weird.

yeah the "wheeling" look isn't in. how bad is the slop though? wish i had a pic. I'm gonna have to go to a shop to get em installed either way because i don't want any more then 1" drop front and back.

How much heavier is the 6 than the 4? Shouldn't be that much of a difference.

It is only like 100 pounds. But the spring rates are different.

I'm probably gonna end up going for it and if it looks funky, then i'll cut a little peace of the front?
