Hi all. Can anyone tell me the location of the block heater? I have a 2015 Malibu LTZ 2LT. I believe it's referred to as an LTG engine. I've been told by the dealer that the car did not come with a block heater. According to the VIN anyways. I'd like to purchase and install one myself but I'm unsure of the location.
Please help.

You probably have one. Look around under the hood for an electric cord. Some online VIN decoders will list all the equipment your car came with including if it has an engine heater.
Modern engines have smaller water jackets around the cylinders and they don't take an engine block heater that goes into the coolant through a frost plug like the old days.
Instead they are often bolt on external heaters.

If you engine is like my 06 2.2 litre, the block heater bolts to the back of the block [firewall side] passenger side.
