Hiello there,

I'm trying to bring back to live a Chevy Malibu 1997 with a 2.4L L4 DOHC 16V. Mechanic told me most of the wiring is kind of chewed and must be replaced.

I have some questions.

1. Is there any OEM part number or this must be taken out from another car?
2. Is it hard to replace for someone fairly new into car mechanics?

it would depend on if your talking about the engine wiring harness or the body harness. I would get manuals that were for your car not just for an aray of cars like yours. look them over. then I;d go junk yarding it will give you training removing one first. after you get a new harness you can go point by point replacing it with the new one.
