Hi all, Just bought a used 09 1lt Malibu. I know that I can add remote start but was wondering about making the bluetooth work. Can I just add the module and it will work or do I have to have the car re-flashed? One more question for now, is the wiring for the auto dimming mirror in tucked up in the headliner already?

First off welcome.

1-Not to sure that you can add the Bluetooth, there is alot to it.
2-From what I have heard on here nope.

Yeah did some research and found out that If you don't have on-star you are pretty much sol, don't have a lot of the wiring. I will continue to look for aftermarket options and post if I find any.

I added bluetooth by changing out the head unit. I put a DVD player in and it has built in bluetooth which is actually better than factory because it has on screen controls for the phone and it also has voice recognition. (I'm not saying this was a cheap option). I also added an auto dimming mirror to my car that works perfect. I did have onstar buttons in my mirror from the start which made adding the autodim mirror very easy, I really just had to run a power wire to the mirror. I put one of the compass/temp mirrors in my 95 pickup so I know all about that! Car is mainly for my girl. I would like to have the aftermarket stereo but she said no. I will probably get the remote start enabled for her birthday as I have the AP8 rpo, also might get the fog light and them flashed at the same time. That will probably be the extent of the mods.
I pulled down the cover in the passenger foot well where the on-star module would be and don't have the harness that I can tell, so that means no easy way to integrate the bluetooth to the radio and steering wheel controls.
