I have a 2004 classic and it started acting up with no starts what i did is sprayed electrical contact cleaner into the ignition "key hole". I haven't had a problem with it, an its been three weeks.

That used to be something to try with the old VATS system. However, There should be no electrical contact between the key and anything inside the lock cylinder with Passlock on your vehicle. I'm not going to argue with success but I suspect your ignition switch is on its last leg.

One thing to consider that we used to tell our customers when I worked for a locksmith. Check what you have hanging from your keyring. The heavier it is the more stress you're putting on your lock cylinder. Every bump you go over causes the weight to act like a slide hammer.

Solution: put a quick release on the key fob and ignition key so that that is all that's hanging when driving, then snap it back together, or remove them permanently.

Benefit: longer lasting ignition.
