I have a 2011 with 3.6L V6.
I get the intermittent svc traction light, I noticed when I drive on the road about four hours then all of a sudden let’s start flashing. So pointless to take to dealer since I did this and was told need tuneup or throttle needs cleaning which I already had done, Now I notice that intermittently when driving in stop and go my car will stall and idle fluctuates. I took to a gM dealer and since someone decided to sprayed oil on my engine I did not trust the dealer to work on my car. I am sure they prey on people with these intermittent codes and can’t reproduce them, I am figuring has something to do with wiring since driving four hours wires gets hot and then lets esc svc traction. Fretting cortisone sounds like an easy solution if that is the issue, I also know that my radio works but the light on the dash is black. This is why I am going toward an electrical issue. I noticed the wiring going to the 4 plugs and coils the protective covering over the wires is cheap plastic and just fell apart. this is Gm cheap wiring since I figure the heat has something to do with triggering the esc svc traction coming on. Please anyone any suggestions. dealer is a scam artist since somehow oil got poured on top of engine which I have pictures to prove.

I have 2011 Malibu 4 cylinder 7 th generation.

It had me at "Fretting cortisone". ♥

If, as you say, you have pictures to prove your inflammatory statements, please post them. Otherwise, accusing dealers of preying on people with intermittent codes, calling them scam artists, and other unsavory comments isn't the way to gain any favor or get much help.
thanks how do I have a picture and on here I would not say anything without proof. This is a picture of what I said.

Thank you for providing that so quickly. That's a mess, alright! I've had dealerships and instant oil change places do the same, and worse.

It's the level of expectation that's lacking, and the folks doing the work live "down" to the expectation. I'd get on a soap box about now, but there's no need to waste my breath.

Everyone gets a bit edgy when they've been done wrong. It takes time to learn that sometimes it isn't intentional, just poor work habits and/or low standards.
Thanks I am a woman and I guess they just want to say I need this or that. I am reading and learning a lot on Malibu Forum. i know something was wrong when the service manager no longer worked there next time I came in there. I learned to fix only one thing at a time. I have had diagnosis on my car and was told I was missing two fuses. these fuses were under the hood of my car how do I miss two fuses? frustating that my car is stalling , lights flash intermittently and my friend who rod in my car said it is bad when have a car you can't depend on.

What you should consider before going into the shop is what you'll accept when you leave. If your mind is set so that you won't accept a mess like that, then before paying for it, you inspect the vehicle to be sure that the requested service has been performed to your satisfaction. For an oil change, you lift the hood, pull the dipstick, and check that the oil filter has been changed. For a spin-on, it's easy. For a cartridge, not as easy. Then, if all the physical items meet with your approval, you check for oil spills or other issues and discuss them before accepting it back. For that mess, you could simply say that it's not acceptable and they need to clean it up to a reasonable level.

I've had my car returned with oil stains like your image shows, although not quite as large, but also with oily hand prints on the hood, door, outer handle, inner handle, steering wheel, and shifter. When I sat in the seat with the door open, I saw a small line of oil running down the body near the hinge. My decision that day was to never go back instead of confront them. Now I do my own oil changes, but if I can find a shop with reasonable labor rates where I supply the oil, I'll consider that. Until then, I'm on my back.
Thanks there was no oil changed I had taken in for diagnosis second time for lights svc traction intermittently. It gets so hard to belief a dealer when a man in the lobby told me the computers were down and the last service manager over charged him $100 dollar for something. The old service manager told me I needed a tuneup and Throttle body cleaned. I had taken my car to another shop to get that work done before going to dealer. Dealer is the last resort. I have had Sham put in negative battery cable. In 2018 my car after driving had to get tow truck. I needed a battery. The new battery post was smaller which was the only work done. I read about battery cable issue on here and my mechanic said Gm cars to use only Gm parts ac delco. So. I will have to check bCM for fretting. I had I wonder why the wiring protection crumbled when I took off the beauty cover cheap GM and cheap plastic parts or wiring. I was told the actuator also plastic goes bad in GM cars I was told takes 6 hours to fix?

Okay I have pretty much every symptom of the BCM connection corrosion issue here, and would like to perform this task. I have removed the passengers side panel of the center console and do not see, or at least recognize the body control module. My manual for this car has yet to arrive via Ebay so I am shooting in the dark here... Attached is a pic, maybe someone can help me figure this out? Where is the BCM and how do I access the connections?
