So today I was able to finish detailing my car. During the week I clean and conditioned the inside with duragloss which came out nice. Then I was able to go over the outside today clay barred, light scratch removal, and paint sealant. The scratch remover/ paint cleaner was surf city garage and the paint sealant was 3M performance finish which is extremely easy to use and last a long time. I was also able to take off the emblems and some of the pin stripe that I didn't like. Here's some pictures.

Thanks. I had stripping and words on the lower part of the front driver and passenger doors. It was really tacky and it said Malibu sport, which makes no sense to me why anyone would put that on a vehicle. I left the pinstripe that goes front to back, but I am still not sure if I am going to leave it or take it off. It seems to break up the silver nicely, but I hate how they look ofter a few years of weather.

Yeah, it makes it just a little different from the others on the road. It comes off easily enough if I change my mind, especially using an eraser wheel to take it off. BTW the PTM emblems on the red jewel look really good on your car. Red jewel is one of my favorite colors GM has.

You can refer to the detailing sticky for some further detail on clay bars, but the ones in the mothers and meguiars kit are both middle of the road quality.

Check out autogeek they only carry medium to high end products with a note about any specific care required from product to product. drop a comment in that thread too if you have general q's.
