I know there are three fuse boxes, one located in the trunk, one in the passenger side center panel, one near the battery. My question is, if I want to put led lights in my car, can I connect the wire to any of the switches in the passenger fuse box that will make the lights come on automatically at night with the rest of the lights. Forgive my ignorance of elecetrical terms, I'm not very car-tech savvy. And if not, how is the easiest way to run a wire from the inside of your car to your fuse box near the battery. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey bud, check my thread on LEDs here.

Where and what kind of LEDs do you want to add. If you just want them to come on w/ interior lights, then splicing into the Traction Control switch for Instrument Lights would work. Thats what I did for the under the dash LED strips. have not posted pics of that yet.

I have two strips of rgb LEDs, both for under my dash of the driver and passenger sides. Is the wire for traction control easy to find? I have a mind to just connect to the battery through the firewall and put a switch.

Pull the passenger side panel off of the middle console, toward the front. Its where the inside fuse block is located. You can reach up in there and unplug the Trac connector. Just splice into that for your power and ground. The LEDs dont draw enough amps to hurt the circuit. Let me know if you need pics:)

I didn't know there was fuse box in the trunk. I see the access panels for the rear side marker lights. Where is the fuse box?

Updated 09Aug09: So... It helps if one actually looks are the little covers in the trunk of the car instead of assuming that they are for the side marker lights. I feel dumb! :)
