how did you guys manage to remove the bumper, this is the second time I got stuck replacing the headlamps, last time however I decided to say screw it and went to GM and paid $280 to have them replace the bulbs for HID's (that was just labor) now however I dont have that kind of money to waste so I decided to do it myself and got pretty much it off except the bumper is hanging on the top by the last 4 bolts connecting it to the chassis. (the two on each side of the headlamp on the very top) but i JUST cant reach them, no matter if I go from below, the side, on top I JUST cant reach them.... just like putting a candy bar on a line and having a kid chase after it.....it's unreachable!!!!

I like my Mali but for self service this car is the worst!!!

Now it's getting dark and I dont have enough lighting to do it so the car has got to stay in the car port until tomorrow when I have more light to ATTEMPT at getting it done...... it didn't take me all afternoon......but rather ALL DAY to get not even halfway >_<

nevermind, no one told me you're supposed to slide it upwards afterwards! successfully changed the bulbs.....and they are working again (god bless it wasn't the balast!) HOWEVER!!! I noticed that when the dealer changed the bulbs he put fingerprints in the housing.......but I guess I will have to tint them a shade darker to hide those marks..... >_< ....least now I know how to change em AND I did not have any spare bolts left......score!!!!!

Good job! You just saved yourself $280 bucks. You are very brave to try some thing like that without checking the service manual!

I already had it changed to a full HID upgrade last year, I had to replace one of the bumbs that burned out, turns out it was cracked.... so now its back to her 8000k blueness~~~~

Thanks for your help getting the bumper off. I got stuck in the same spot the first time i got everything apart. Got my HID kit installed but now my problem is the headlights are mis aligned. More like one is pointed more towards the ground. Driver side is fine, pass. side is messed. Guess I'm gonna have to take it apart again next week or I'll wait till i get another kit to do my high beams.

well you dont need to take em apart to reallign them, between the bumber and the headlamp is a tiny space where if you look down you can access the alignment with either a flathead or a hexagon screwdriver.... I haven't realigned them because I didn't need to atm however im thinking of aligning them higher. Nothing needs to be removed to get to that.
