Hey. Looking at other posts it looks like you have an LS. Single exhaust set-up from factory. While the swap "can" be conducted at home you probably need a way to cut pipes and re-connect them. That assembly (as does other dual set-ups) feed from a single pipe to the duals. How are you going to exit them from under the car? The RS and the Premier have a rear valance for dual exhaust that you can swap out with minimal effort. (OEM Bumper & Components - Rear for 2018 Chevrolet Malibu | GMPartsCenter.net)
Effectively the cost of doing the swap changes drastically when you add the rear valance. Maybe searching a local junk-yard or "pick-n-pull" will net you a better deal. If you find something there you might even be able to pull the exhaust as well...
